Above the window and door openings, lintels must be installed that take the loads of the walls and ceilings above the lintels.
We distinguish several types of lintels:
1_MONOLITHIC LINTELS
- reinforced concrete lintels are made on site, at the construction site in formwork. The formwork consists of vertical sides and a base, and is placed on scaffolding.
2_ASSEMBLED COVERS
- covers made of steel frames are usually made from "I" beams and are most commonly used in adaptations or subsequent openings in walls.
